Job description
Pay - $7.50 - $8.50 USD Hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team, focusing on the processing and coordination of biological medications. This role involves handling specialty and biological prescriptions, verifying insurance, supporting prior authorization efforts, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The adecuado candidate has experience in specialty pharmacy settings and strong knowledge of biologics and high-cost therapies.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate prescription fulfillment with external specialty pharmacies and patients.
· Process, verify, and enter biological/specialty medication prescriptions accurately into systems.
· Perform benefits verification and assist with prior authorizations for high-cost biologic medications.
· Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
· Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure timely medication access.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician License
- Language Skills:
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
