About Elder Needs Law, PLLC
Led by Jason Neufeld, Esq., a highly respected, top-rated Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney, Elder Needs Law focuses on helping Florida families navigate Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, Asset Protection, Special Needs Planning, and long-term care decisions with clarity and confidence.
With offices in Aventura, Boca Raton, Plantation, and Spring Hill, our firm serves seniors and their families across Florida. We are committed to protecting assets, preserving legacies, and helping families plan for life’s most important transitions.
Families contact us during emotionally and financially stressful moments — when they’re worried about nursing home costs, Medicaid eligibility, protecting a spouse at home, or ensuring long-term care security. We guide them with professionalism, compassion, and structured solutions.
Role Overview
The Intake Specialist is the first point of contact for families reaching out to Elder Needs Law.
This role is responsible for answering inbound calls, responding to inquiries, gathering key information, qualifying prospective clients, and guiding appropriate families to the next step in the firm’s process.
This is not a receptionist role. It is a client-facing, conversation-driven position that directly impacts client experience and firm growth.
Callers are often overwhelmed, confused about Medicaid rules, or anxious about protecting their assets. The Intake Specialist must create calm, clarity, and confidence while following a structured intake process.
This role does not provide legal advice and does not pressure callers. It focuses on empathy, professionalism, and accurate information gathering.
Core Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls promptly and professionally
- Build rapport and trust with seniors and family members
- Gather and verify critical financial and situational information
- Identify the nature of the legal need (Medicaid planning, estate planning, asset protection, special needs planning, long-term care concerns)
- Qualify prospective clients according to firm guidelines
- Clearly explain next steps and schedule consultations when appropriate
- Conduct follow-up calls and manage no-shows
- Maintain clean, accurate CRM records
- Adhere to firm systems, scripts, and training
Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to guide conversations without sounding scripted
- Active listening and emotional awareness
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to remain calm with stressed or anxious callers
- Comfort following structured systems and processes
- Minimum 2 years of intake, customer service, or phone-based experience
- Law firm experience preferred (elder law experience is a plus)
- Sales experience is a bonus (consultative, not high-pressure)
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency (strongly preferred)
Technical Requirements
- Comfortable using CRM systems
- Ability to type and take notes while speaking
- Reliable internet connection
- Quiet, professional work environment
What Success Looks Like
- High-quality, professional intake conversations
- Accurate and complete CRM documentation
- Clear expectation setting that reduces no-shows
- Positive feedback from families and attorneys
- Families feeling heard, supported, and guided from the first call
Cultural Fit
This role is idóneo for someone who values professionalism, empathy, and structure — and who understands that intake is a mission-critical function within an elder law firm.
Families contacting Elder Needs Law are making serious financial and life decisions. The right candidate will approach each call with patience, clarity, and compassion while maintaining firm boundaries and professionalism.
