We are seeking up to five (5) detail-oriented, licensed attorneys to support our class action practice group as Underwriting Reviewers. This is a high-volume, metric-driven role focused on researching company backgrounds, reviewing litigation history, and entering structured data into our case management system. The role is designed to help clear a current case backlog and may expand based on performance and volume needs.
This position does not involve client-facing responsibilities. Candidates must be self-directed professionals who thrive in repetitive, process-driven environments and can consistently meet daily output targets.

30 – 40 cases per person, per day

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Underwriting Research & Review
- Research and verify company backgrounds including company size and corporate structure
- Determine presence or absence of arbitration agreements on a per-company basis
- Identify and flag PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims using the PAGA search tool
- Review and document litigation history relevant to class action eligibility
- Cross-reference company records using e-Verify and case portal resources
Data Entry & Case Management
- Accurately input research findings and case data into ActionStep (case management system)
- Maintain consistent data entry standards across 30–40 cases per day
- Flag discrepancies, missing data, or records requiring escalation
- Follow established workflows and checklists without deviation
Tools & Systems Used
- PAGA Search Tool – identify and confirm PAGA claim status
- Case Portal – retrieve and review case filings and litigation records
- E-Verify – confirm company employment verification records
- ActionStep – primary case management and data entry platform
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Required
- Licensed attorney
- Proven experience reviewing legal, corporate, or employment records
- Proficiency in structured data entry with high accuracy
- Ability to meet daily volume targets (30–40 cases/day) consistently
- Bilingual – English proficiency required: written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and suitable home office setup
- Must be available Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST without exception
Preferred
- Prior experience with U.S. employment law, class action, or litigation support
- Familiarity with PAGA claims, arbitration agreements, or California labor law
- Experience with ActionStep or similar case/practice management software
- Background in legal research, compliance review, or underwriting
IMPORTANT — ROLE SCOPE CLARIFICATION
This role is explicitly scoped to research, review, and data entry. The following are NOT part of this position:
- No client communication or attorney-client interaction
- No legal strategy, case advice, or substantive legal work product
- No court filings, correspondence, or representation of any kind
- This is a temporary/backlog-clearing engagement with potential for ongoing placement based on performance
