Join a team building scalable backend services with a strong focus on engineering quality and AI-assisted software development. In this role, you'll help design, build, and evolve backend systems while using AI tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve productivity and code quality. You'll work independently in a distributed team and contribute to technical decisions, engineering standards, and the adoption of modern development practices.

Required for this role

- Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer
- Strong experience with Kotlin; strong Java experience is also accepted
- Experience using AI tools throughout software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment
- Strong understanding of software design and architecture principles
- Experience building scalable backend services
- Ability to write maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code
- Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in distributed teams

Your responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable backend services
- Leverage AI-assisted development workflows to improve engineering productivity
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
- Write maintainable,



scalable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new platform capabilities
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities
- Contribute to engineering best practices and initiatives that drive AI adoption
