We are looking for a Product Design & Development Director to join our team in Bogotá.
This role will lead the design, development, and industrialization of cocoa-, chocolate-, and chocolate derivatives-based products, ensuring innovative, profitable, and sustainable solutions aligned with the business strategy.Direct experience in chocolate, cocoa, and related derivatives is essential for this role.Profile required:Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.Postgraduate studies in Food Science & Technology, Innovation, Product Development, Industrial Processes, or related areas are desirable.Minimum 8 years of experience leading Product Development, Product Design, R&D;, Innovation, or Industrialization processes within the food industry.Proven experience developing chocolate, cocoa, and related derivative products.Strong knowledge of formulation, food ingredients, cocoa/chocolate technology, industrial processes, scale-up, pilot plant and industrial trials, and product launches.Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional innovation projects.Advanced English is required,



with the ability to interact confidently in international technical, business, and customer-facing environments.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in both Spanish and English.Key responsibilities:Lead product development projects from concept to commercial launch.Drive innovation in chocolate, cocoa, and related food applications.Ensure technical, regulatory, quality, operational, and business feasibility of new developments.Partner with Marketing, Commercial, Quality, Production, Procurement, suppliers, and external clients to co-create value-added solutions.Act as a technical reference for internal teams, customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.Lead and develop a technical team, promoting knowledge transfer, collaboration, and high performance.If you have strong experience in chocolate and cocoa product development, advanced English, and a passion for food innovation, we would be glad to hear from you.Please apply or contact me directly to learn more about the opportunity.
