This role is idóneo for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring engineering teams, and driving architectural decisions without stepping away from coding, supporting the modernization of existing monolithic applications into distributed microservices while collaborating closely with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.What You'll be Doing:Design and evolve scalable software architectures for enterprise applicationsLead the modernization of legacy monolithic systems into cloud-native microservices using patterns such as Strangler Fig, Change Data Capture (CDC), and event-driven architecturesDevelop production-ready software using Java (Spring Boot), Laravel (PHP), and ReactDesign RESTful APIs and asynchronous integrations using Kafka and Amazon SQSDefine service boundaries, data ownership, and communication strategies across distributed systemsArchitect and implement cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiencyParticipate actively in coding, design reviews,



and technical implementationPerform code reviews and promote engineering best practices across development teamsTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term improvementsCollaborate with DevOps teams on deployment strategies, monitoring, and operational excellenceMentor engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycleDrive continuous improvements in architecture, development processes, and system observabilityWhat You'll Need to Be Successful:8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software solutionsStrong hands-on experience with Java and Spring BootProfessional experience developing applications with Laravel (PHP) and ReactDeep understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practicesExtensive experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native applicationsStrong understanding of architectural patterns, including Microservices, Modular Monoliths, Strangler Fig, CDC, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and RESTful APIsExperience implementing asynchronous communication using Kafka and/or Amazon SQSStrong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL,



Amazon RDS, and Amazon DynamoDBExperience with Debezium or other CDC technologiesSolid understanding of software design patterns (GoF) and architectural best practicesExperience with AWS services, including ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Systems Manager Parameter StoreExperience troubleshooting complex production environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practicesPreferred Qualifications:Experience modernizing large-scale monolithic applicationsExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)Knowledge of observability tools such as New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, or PrometheusExperience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation)Familiarity with Redis or distributed caching solutionsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsBlanc Labs is enabling a digital future.
