Scientific Affairs Manager (Bogotá)
What you will do
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Evidence Generation / HEOR
Advice on the design, execution, and publication of studies (clinical, RWE, registries), aligned with local regulations, AMGEN standardized processes, and strategic needs of key molecules.
Ensure scientific quality, clinical relevance, and compliance with local processes.
Understand and apply company value stories, facilitating agile economic evaluations in collaboration with external vendors.
Integrate clinical and economic evidence, working closely with the access team to address medical and ecosystem needs, ensuring relevance for different stakeholders (HCPs, payers, decision‐makers).
Collaborate cross‐functionally with teams across Amgen.
Accountable for elevating team capabilities in HEOR.
Collaborate in the development of payer value messages.
Clinical Research
Strategically map research centers to propose them for new clinical studies and consolidate a strong network to respond to feasibility assessments.
Apply advanced epidemiology knowledge to conduct structured literature searches and analyze public data to support strategic research decisions.
Oversee clinical studies through dashboards and key metrics, intervening strategically to optimize timelines and increase country‐level protocol allocation.
Maintain a strong understanding of the AMGEN pipeline to enable timely discussions and secure strategic clinical trial allocations for the country.
Periodically disseminate clinical research data.
Actively participate in industry associations, leveraging strong knowledge of local regulations to identify strategic opportunities for the company.
Medical Information
Manage and respond to medical information requests from physicians, ensuring scientific quality and regulatory compliance.
Analyze request metrics and trends to generate strategic insights.
Leading Country Initiative
Consolidate and unify the country initiative focused on Investigation, Development and Academia by integrating activities conducted and proposed throughout the year into the evidence generation strategy.
Ensure compliance with program criteria and governance.
Promote and disseminate the program.

Basic Qualifications
Master's degree in epidemiology or health economics and 2 years of experience in Evidence Generation, Medical Affairs and Clinical Research or a related function within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, OR
Bachelor's degree in a health‐related discipline or equivalent and 4 years of experience in HEOR, Evidence Generation, Medical Affairs and Clinical Research or a related function within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of economic evidence and outcomes (health economics training preferred).
Experience in research (clinical and/or RWE, observational studies, IIS, and publications).
Experience with data analysis (SISPRO, DANE, RIPS, public data sources).
Strong understanding of the healthcare system, its needs, and key data sources.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance environments.
Data‐driven strategic thinking.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Autonomy, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
Scientific publications (not mandatory)
Experience in medical innovation initiatives.
