Full-Stack Web Developer (Security + OCR)
About the role:
We are looking for a developer who can take prototypes to a secure, scalable, production-ready product along side maintenance, bug fixes, & feature additions post launch.
Current stack:
React & Node.js on Vercel + Supabase
Core work:
Audit & lock down security — this is the #1 priority.
Build an OCR pipeline that extracts structured data from images/documents into a secure database
Refactor existing prototype for scale and reliability without unnecessary rewrites
Must have:
3+ years shipping production React + Node.js applications
A portfolio of shipped web apps — share links and a short note on your role and what you built
Real security experience — auth (OAuth2/JWT), input validation, rate limiting, secrets/env hygiene, encryption at rest & in transit, OWASP Top 10 awareness,



and genuinely understanding how apps get breached
Hands‐on OCR / document data‐extraction experience (Preferably experience with tesseract)
Strong backend fundamentals — API design, PostgreSQL data modeling, async job processing
Scaling fundamentals — caching (Redis), queueing, horizontal scaling
Comfortable on Vercel + Railway and modern CI/CD
Strong English, written and verb
Nice to have:
Security audit / pentest awareness
Infrastructure‐as‐code, monitoring and observability
Experience migrating off PaaS toward more scalable infra when warranted
