CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Job summary:

- Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and monitoring of budget performance with variance analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective delegation and timely completion of tasks.
- Establish and maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA,



CMA, or equivalent certification is often preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, advanced Excel skills, ERP proficiency, and excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English is required.

Additional Information:

- Location: This is a full-time, live-in position at Diamonds Athuruga Resort, Maldives.
- Relocation support provided, including round-trip airfare, work visa assistance, and airport transfers.
- Full board meals and shared accommodation are included on the island.
- Pay: $2,800,000.00 - $3,220,000.00 per month
