What you will do

- Implement new features for the Metadata Bus platform.
- Build new integrations with internal and external systems.
- Maintain and improve existing Metadata Bus integrations.
- Contribute to the refactoring of Metadata Bus and other team initiatives.
- Integrate with and troubleshoot external APIs.
- Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to support the Indeed Compliance platform.

Must haves

- 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and integrating external APIs.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and database scalability.
- Experience with Git and platforms such as Git

Hub, Git

Lab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Git

Lab CI.
- Experience writing unit tests, with JUnit preferred, and working with integration and end-to-end testing.
- Experience troubleshooting applications using tools such as Postman, curl, or Chrome Dev

Tools.




- Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to haves

- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with Kafka.
- Experience with gRPC.
- Previous experience working on Indeed projects.
