This role ensures driver qualification files, vehicle records, and compliance documentation are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with federal and state regulations. The Compliance Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining safe operations and audit readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesDriver Qualification & RecordsTrack and verify driver licenses, medical certificates, endorsements, and expirationsManage DOT quarterly drug/alcohol randoms programMonitor Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) and follow up on violations or discrepanciesManage and monitor citation/violation programDOT & FMCSA ComplianceEnsure compliance with DOT,



FMCSA, and applicable state regulationsTrack corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of compliance issuesMaintain records related to hours of service (HOS), ELD compliance, and violationsTrack that all drivers are login in daily before their shift. Provide reports to operations of driver not in compliance.Reporting & DocumentationEnter and update compliance data in systems such as Samsara ELD platformsGenerate compliance reports and dashboards as requestedMaintain organized digital and physical filing systemsCommunication & SupportCommunicate compliance requirements to drivers and internal teamsAssist drivers with compliance-related questions and ELD TrainingCoordinate with Safety, Operations, and HR teams to ensure alignmentRequired Qualifications1–2 years of experience in DOT compliance, safety, or transportation administration preferredWorking knowledge of FMCSA regulations (49 CFR)Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to handle confidential and sensitive informationPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience with ELD systems (e.G., Samsara, Motive, Omnitracs)Familiarity with DOT audits and compliance reviewsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPhysical & Work EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with extended periods of sitting and computer useOccasional interaction with drivers in terminal or yard environments#J-18808-Ljbffr
