Paralegal

This is a remote Legal Assistant position supporting a practice focused on Family Law (divorce, custody), mediation, Guardian ad Litem (GAL) representation, and estate planning.

Working directly with the principal attorney, you will handle day-to-day legal support, court e-filings, client communications, and calendar management. This role includes a two-week onboarding overlap with the outgoing paralegal, requiring a quick learner who can hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities

Legal & GAL Support: Assist with divorce, mediation, and estate planning cases. Coordinate GAL tasks (scheduling visits, doctor calls, compiling case data for court recommendations).

E-Filing & Exhibits:



Format and file documents via court portals; organize trial evidence and exhibits.

Document Drafting: Use existing templates and refine AI-assisted drafts by accurately filling in case-specific details.

Scheduling & Communication: Manage complex calendars, handle client calls via Grasshopper, maintain swift email turnaround, and communicate daily via Microsoft Teams. Requirements

Experience: Background in Family Law (divorce, custody, mediation, or GAL cases for US based law firms).

Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with MyCase, state court e-filing portals, Grasshopper, and Microsoft Teams. Comfortable using AI tools to finalize drafts.

Traits: Proactive, organized, independent, and advanced in English communication (written and spoken). Schedule & Compensation

Month 1: ~20 hours/week | $900 USD/month (Onboarding & training overlap)

Month 2 Onward: ~32 hours/week (28–32 range) | $1,500 USD/month

Availability: Must be available during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM Eastern Standard Time)
