About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Referral Coordinator to provide administrative support across medical billing, referrals, scheduling, reporting, and patient/insurance coordination. This role is idóneo for someone with hands-on experience using healthcare software and managing multiple administrative workflows in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support medical billing and revenue cycle activities, including claims processing, accounts receivable (AR) follow-up, billing corrections, and related administrative tasks. Process and coordinate patient referrals while following up on outstanding referral requirements. Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and calendar coordination.
Verify and maintain accurate patient, insurance, billing, and referral information. Communicate with insurance companies regarding billing and insurance-related follow-ups. Assist with Sendata reporting and other required administrative reports.
Monitor employee timekeeping and follow up on missed clock-ins and clock-outs. Answer incoming calls as needed and provide support following established procedures. Maintain accurate documentation across client systems.
Communicate effectively with the client and internal stakeholders, escalating issues when appropriate.

Qualifications
Previous experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, medical virtual assistance, or care coordination. Hands-on experience using Spectrum Teletrack. Hands-on experience using Sendata. Hands-on experience using Emo Meds.
Experience with medical billing and/or revenue cycle management.
Experience coordinating referrals and healthcare scheduling. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Availability to work during Central Time business hours. Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup. Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements.
