As part of our vertically integrated engineering team, you will be responsible for assessing existing structures, developing structural strategies, coordinating with consultants, and driving efficient, cost-effective solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.This role is heavily focused on adaptive reuse and renovation projects, requiring engineers who can quickly understand existing building behavior, identify constraints,



and develop practical structural solutions that support operational requirements while minimizing construction costs and schedule impacts.You will work closely with Architecture, Mechanical, Plumbing, Civil, Geotechnical, Construction, and Development teams to develop structural concepts that are safe, constructable, scalable, and economical.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural due diligence assessments on existing buildings to evaluate:Gravity load systemsLateral force resisting systemsExisting foundationsStructural deficiencies and deteriorationCapacity for proposed occupancies and equipment loadsIdentify compromised structural elements including:CorrosionMaterial degradationSettlementOverstressed membersInadequate historical modificationsDevelop structural strategies for integrating new facility requirements into existing buildings.Determine structural strengthening requirements for:Gravity systemsLateral systemsFoundationsEquipment support structuresDevelop foundation concepts and design strategies for new and existing facilities.Analyze building load paths and identify critical structural elements that influence project feasibility and cost.Coordinate structural requirements with architectural layouts, mechanical equipment loads, plumbing infrastructure, civil improvements,



and geotechnical recommendations.Review and provide technical guidance to external consultants and Engineers of Record (EORs) throughout design development and construction documentation phases.Support permitting efforts and coordinate with Building Departments and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
