The Health & Safety Manager serves as the senior Health, Safety, and Wellbeing leader for Asurion's Bogotá operations, supporting a 12-story office facility housing a large customer support and corporate workforce. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the site's Safety Management System (SG-SST), ensuring compliance with Colombian regulations while driving a proactive safety culture aligned with Asurion's global standards. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, Security, Business Continuity, and senior leadership to reduce risk, improve employee wellbeing, ensure emergency readiness, and strengthen organizational resilience.

Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the Colombian SG-SST.

Ensure compliance with all Colombian occupational health and safety regulations.

Maintain all required regulatory documentation, inspections, permits, and records.

Serve as the primary liaison with ARL, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.

Monitor legislative changes and implement compliance updates.

Safety Leadership

Develop and execute the annual Health & Safety Strategy.

Build a proactive safety culture throughout the Bogotá campus.

Coach leaders on their safety responsibilities.

Lead corporate safety initiatives and global program deployment.

Develop annual safety objectives and KPIs. Office & Call Center Safety Manage health and safety risks associated with: Multi-story office operations

Slips, trips and falls

Indoor air quality

Housekeeping

Electrical safety

Contractor activities

Visitor safety

New employee onboarding

Wellness initiatives Emergency Preparedness Lead all emergency preparedness activities including: Fire prevention

Evacuation planning for all 12 floors

Floor Warden Program

Emergency Response Teams

Shelter-in-place procedures

Active threat/workplace violence response

Annual evacuation drills

Business Continuity support Incident Management Lead investigations for all workplace incidents.

Perform Root Cause Analysis.

Track corrective actions through completion.

Identify trends using leading and lagging indicators.

Develop preventative actions.

Present investigation findings to leadership.

Risk Management

Conduct enterprise risk assessments.

Perform routine workplace inspections.

Evaluate new projects for safety impacts.

Review office renovations and facility modifications.

Support procurement reviews for safety-related purchases.

Manage contractor safety requirements.

Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or related discipline.

Colombian Occupational Health & Safety Professional License.

Minimum 5 years of progressive Health & Safety experience.

Experience managing SG-SST.

Experience supporting large office or corporate environments.

Fluent in Spanish and English.

Experience leading emergency preparedness programs.

Strong knowledge of Colombian occupational safety legislation.

Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.

Excellent presentation and leadership skills.

Preferred: Postgraduate specialization in Occupational Health & Safety.

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.

50-hour SG-SST certification.

Business Continuity or Emergency Management experience.

Office ergonomics certification.

Crisis Management experience.

Project Management experience.

AI proficiency for business applications.

Experience supporting contact centers or business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.
