Chief Java

Engineer (AWS & Gen AI) We are seeking a chief Java engineer to lead a major platform modernization with strong AWS, Java, and Generative AI expertise. You will assess the current architecture and codebase, define scalable improvements, and guide delivery across upgrades, integrations, and reporting.

Responsibilities - Lead the platform-wide Java upgrade program to version 21 - Decouple memory management from static servers by integrating Redis to enable autoscaling - Design and implement a dynamic load balancer that can adapt to fluctuating workloads - Modernize and revamp legacy reports built in Pentaho - Re-engineer integrations with third-party products such as OTP and Workday - Explore the existing codebase to fully understand architectural and design patterns, then propose improved solution designs - Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain architectural consistency and follow industry best practices - Apply Generative AI to enhance system capabilities and improve developer productivity - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the modernization journey Requirements - Extensive experience in software development and solution architecture,
