Job Description

As a NOC Engineer, you will monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, manage incident resolutions, and support infrastructure reliability. You will analyze alerts, apply updates, document incidents, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain smooth network operations and continuous service availability.

Job Overview

- Employment type: Indefinite term contract, Full‑time
- Shift: Day shift, 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Colombian Time), Wednesdays to Sundays
- Work setup: Work From Home
- 5 days work week
- Work‑from‑home arrangement
- 20 vacation days in total

The Qualifications We Seek

- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls
- Experience using NOC monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management




- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud platforms or virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.)

Your Daily Tasks

Network Monitoring

- Monitor network performance, servers, and critical systems
- Respond promptly to alerts to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and resolve network issues
- Escalate incidents and document root‑cause analyses

Maintenance & Support

- Perform routine health checks
- Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes

Communication & Coordination

- Work with network engineers, system administrators, and vendors

Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain accurate event logs and performance metrics
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly health reports
- Recommend improvements for tools and processes
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies
