Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead and orchestrate client‑facing development programs focused on building and scaling custom products and platforms. This role sits at the intersection of delivery execution, client partnership, and technical coordination—ensuring complex initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high bar of quality.
You will serve as the operational backbone of the program, partnering closely with clients, internal product and engineering teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to maintain momentum, transparency, and trust throughout the engagement.
Client Partnership & Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Drive clarity in scope, requirements, and priorities with client stakeholders across technical and business functions, surfacing ambiguity early and keeping alignment visible across the team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills - you listen first,
react second.
- Deliver authoritative project health reports and mitigation strategies to diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring each touchpoint is meticulously prepared to maintain program momentum and clarity.
- Partner with other project leads to translate client outcomes into clear execution plans for delivery teams. Communicate these plans to stakeholders.
Program & Delivery Management
- Own overall project health, ensuring initiatives stay on track across scope, timeline, budget, and resourcing.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, unknowns, and trade-offs across multiple workstreams.
- Work with delivery teams to recommend mitigation plans for all risks and unknowns and communicate to all project stakeholders.li>
- Ensure project administration is accurate and up to date, including timesheets, resourcing, revenue forecasting, and project reporting tools.
- Own SOW and contract management for the engagement, including change order tracking, milestone sign‑offs, and alignment between contracted scope and actual delivery.
- Manage third‑party vendors and delivery partners as an integrated part of the program, ensuring external teams operate within the same visibility, quality,
and accountability standards as internal teams.
Project Facilitation
- Facilitate project and development ceremonies; must be familiar withScrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models.
- Must adapt to iterative changes while maintaining calm and grounding all changes and trade‑offs to reach the client outcome.
- Ceremonies include but are not limited to the following: Kick-offs, Standups, Working Sessions, Refinements, Planning, and Reviews/Demos.
- Must be able to use excellent communication skills to promptly share relevant notes and action items (whether AI-captured or manually)
- Work with teams to either create tasks/stories or categorize and itemize work items appropriately within a sprint plan or within a project plan
- Proficiency with project management and issue tracking tools (Jira, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Must be familiar with Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models.
- Scrum certification is useful but not required.
Technical & Domain Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams on platform architecture, integrations, and workflows. While not a hands‑on engineer, maintain enough technical fluency to ask the right questions and guide informed decisions.
- Experience with payment platforms or fintech is a strong plus.
