This individual will serve as the firm's internal finance lead, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, sound financial controls, and smooth coordination with external accounting and tax professionals.Success in this role requires ownership, initiative, and the ability to continuously improve financial processes as the organization grows.What You'll Be Responsible ForFinancial Planning & BudgetingLead the annual budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts.Monitor actual performance against budget and explain key variances.Identify spending trends, cost-saving opportunities, and financial risks.Prepare financial analyses to support management decision-making.Maintain budgeting models and planning schedules.Financial ReportingOwn the monthly and quarterly management reporting process.Prepare executive financial reports, KPI dashboards, and operating summaries.Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and presented in a clear,



decision-useful format.Support ad hoc financial analyses and reporting requests.Accounting & Financial OperationsOversee month-end and year-end close coordination.Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Maintain accurate accounting records for cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.Coordinate closely with external bookkeeping firms, accountants, and auditors.Ensure financial records remain complete, organized, and audit-ready.Cash ManagementMaintain cash forecasts and liquidity planning.Monitor operating cash requirements and funding needs.Prepare periodic cash flow reports for management.Coordinate payment schedules and recurring financial obligations.Tax & Compliance CoordinationCoordinate annual tax preparation with external CPA firms.Prepare supporting schedules and documentation.Track tax filing deadlines and compliance requirements.Support annual audits and regulatory reporting as needed.Process Improvement & Financial ControlsImprove accounting workflows and financial reporting processes.Develop standardized procedures, templates, and documentation.Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and improve efficiency.Help build scalable finance processes that support the firm's continued growth.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,



or a related field.CPA designation or CPA candidate strongly preferred.7+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial reporting experience.Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial controls.Experience coordinating month-end close and annual financial reporting.Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.PreferredExperience managing relationships with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, or service providers.Experience implementing or improving financial processes and internal controls.Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.Experience in real estate, professional services, investment management, or other multi-entity organizations is beneficial but not required.Exposure to private equity, fund accounting, or investment management is a plus but not required.What We're Looking ForThe idóneo candidate is someone who naturally brings structure to complexity.
