Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Corrosion Engineer. The Corrosion Engineer will assess corrosion risks across assets and systems, perform corrosion studies, and recommend suitable mitigation strategies and protection methods. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing design documents and material specifications, selecting coatings and protection systems, and providing metallurgical input to support project engineering decisions.



The role also involves preparing technical reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting clients with maintenance plans, inspection programs, and failure analyses. The Corrosion Engineer will participate in virtual meetings with project stakeholders, ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement of Texa-Tech’s engineering practices.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Corrosion and Corrosion Engineering principles, including corrosion mechanisms and failure analysis.
- Experience with Corrosion Protection solutions, such as cathodic protection, inhibitors, and protective design strategies.
- Proficiency in selecting and specifying Coatings for industrial applications, including surface preparation and application standards.
- Background in Metallurgy, including material selection, degradation behavior, and compatibility with service environ
