About Ironsail Pharma

Ironsail Pharma is a technology-enabled pharmacy marketplace connecting healthcare providers with a nationwide network of licensed compounding pharmacies. We're a fast-growing, AI-first team focused on accurate medication data, reliable pharmacy integrations, and operational excellence.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Medication Database Administrator to own the accuracy of the medication data that powers our platform — maintaining medication records, pharmacy catalogs, and product mappings so providers can prescribe with confidence and pharmacies can fulfill reliably. This is a stewardship role: you're the person who can answer, at any moment, whether a product is real, available, and transmitting correctly.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and audit medication records and pharmacy catalogs — name, strength, form, availability, restrictions, and mappings.
- Validate pharmacy-provided product files before publication and configure product-to-pharmacy mappings.
- Confirm products transmit correctly through the platform,

API, ScriptSure, and DoseSpot.
- Support onboarding of new pharmacy catalogs and partners, including electronic-prescribing setup.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies before they affect providers or pharmacies.
- Use AI-assisted tools to run automated QC checks, flag mismatches, and generate reports — applying human review to anything touching PHI or controlled-substance data.
- Document processes and recommend improvements to increase data quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

- 2+ years of experience managing product catalogs, databases, or structured data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, CSV imports, and large datasets.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable working independently in a remote role.
- Comfortable learning new software platforms and adopting AI tools.

Preferred

- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations or e-prescribing platforms (ScriptSure, DoseSpot).
- Understanding of compounding-pharmacy products and controlled-substance handling.

Data Privacy & Compliance

This role involves regulated healthcare data, including information protected under HIPAA. All work must follow Ironsail's data privacy and security policies; PHI and controlled-substance records require human verification and may only be handled through company-approved, compliant tools.

Why Join Ironsail Pharma?

Join a fast-growing, AI-first healthcare technology company, take ownership of a critical operational function from day one, and work fully remote alongside a integral team building the operating system for compounded-medication access.

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Application Question(s):

- Do you regularly use AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as part of your daily work to improve productivity, automate workflows, analyze data, or solve problems? Please describe how you use them.
- How many years of professional experience do you have managing databases, product catalogs, or other structured datasets?
- Have you been directly responsible for maintaining the accuracy, quality, and integrity of large datasets or product catalogs?
- Do you have experience working in healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, or another regulated industry?
- Do you have hands-on experience working with technical data systems such as SQL databases, APIs, CSV imports/exports, data mappings, or system integrations? Please describe the tools you have used, what type of data you worked with, and your direct responsibility in maintaining accuracy or resolving data issues.
