This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes, minimize disruption to production, and improve process performance. The Conversion Engineer identifies technical issues, drives continuous improvement, and helps standardize conversion practices across the organization.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and support product, process, and equipment conversion activities.Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure successful implementation of conversions.Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.Develop and maintain conversion plans, work instructions, technical documentation, and reports.Troubleshoot issues during conversion activities and implement corrective actions as needed.Support equipment setup, testing, validation, and commissioning activities.Monitor conversion performance and analyze data to identify trends, risks,
and improvement opportunities.Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other problem‑solving methodologies.Provide technical support and training to relevant stakeholders during and after implementation.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.G., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX).Demonstrated experience with 3D data preparation software, specifically Materialise Magics and/or 3-matic.Strong understanding of additive manufacturing processes (e.G., FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF) and their associated design limitations and opportunities.Excellent problem‑solving skills and a keen eye for detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.Experience with scripting or programming (e.G., Python) for automation of repetitive tasks is a plus.What’s Waiting For YouWork that mattersThe technology we build at Materialise pushes the boundaries.
