PurposeContributes to the overall success of the IBTT – International Banking Technology and Transformation, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role will support on‑going EDL (Enterprise Data Lake) ingestions, as well as strategic objectives of Cloud data consumption enablement and migration from on‑premise to Cloud technology.AccountabilitiesChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.Functions as a member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices, tool usage, common components, and patterns.Performs hands‑on design and development with SQL/CSV and other file formats (Parquet, Avro, etc.) processing, using appropriate data ingestion patterns, data modelling techniques and scheduling / orchestration.Takes ownership of design, documentation, coding, testing,



debugging and troubleshooting technical issues to support EDL ingestions for Caribbean region.Spends significant amount of time building ETL processes, writing code and testing.Works with the team to optimize code execution.Skilled with dimensional modeling, medallion Cloud architecture and DevOps processes.Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions and guides less experienced team members.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or relevant field.4+ years work experience as a Data Engineer or similar.GCP tools (Dataproc, BigQuery) is an asset.Experience working in Windows & Unix environment.Detail Oriented, team player with an ability to work with minimal direction.Additional RequirementsFluency in English (B2+).Working ConditionsWork in a standard office‑based environment; non‑standard hours are a common occurrence.LocationColombia: Bogota, Bogota.BenefitsScotiaTech offers an inclusive, positive work environment and competitive benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
