Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of API-based services and mobile wallet integrations. The adecuado candidate has strong experience in API automation, service virtualization, mobile testing (particularly iOS), payment ecosystems, and performance testing.

You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to build robust automated test suites, validate complex payment flows, and ensure high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test frameworks.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans for REST APIs and backend services.
- Validate API contracts, request/response payloads, headers, and JSON schemas.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Test asynchronous workflows, retry mechanisms, and fallback behaviors.
- Execute fault injection testing for timeouts, malformed payloads, and service failures.
- Build and maintain automated mobile test suites for iOS applications.
- Validate digital wallet provisioning flows and payment integrations.
- Test tokenization, identity verification, and token lifecycle events.
- Verify OAuth authentication, mTLS configurations, certificates, and API security.
- Execute performance, load, stress, and concurrency testing.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues using monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and QA processes.

Required Qualifications

API Automation

- Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin .
- Experience developing automated API tests using REST Assured .
- Experience with JUnit 5 or TestNG .
- Solid experience using Postman .
- Strong understanding of:

- Experience maintaining large XCUITest automation suites.

Digital Wallet & Payment Testing Experience testing payment solutions, including:
- Apple Wallet

- Push provisioning
- In-wallet provisioning
- Identity verification flows
- Payment tokenization
- Token lifecycle events
- Token Requestors

Understanding of digital payment ecosystems is highly desirable.

Security Testing

Experience validating secure APIs and mobile applications, including:
- OAuth 2.0
- Mutual TLS (mTLS)
- Certificate validation
- API authentication
- Android Keystore
- iOS Keychain
- Secure credential storage

Monitoring & Observability Experience using monitoring and log analysis platforms such as:
- Splunk
- Datadog
- ELK Stack
- Similar monitoring solutions

Knowledge of:
- PII masking and obfuscation
- Log analysis
- Troubleshooting production issues





Performance Testing Experience with performance testing tools such as:
- JMeter
- Gatling
- k6 (or similar)

Experience testing:
- Provisioning throughput
- API latency
- Concurrency
- Load testing
- Stress testing
- Rate limiting
- Circuit breaker behavior

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service virtualization or API mocking tools (WireMock, MockServer, Hoverfly, etc.).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with Docker and containerized testing environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with mobile payment standards and fintech applications.
