We are seeking a qualified and licensed physician (M.D. or D.O.) within 25 miles of Pembroke Pines, Florida to serve as our Medical Director. This role provides clinical oversight for our in-person weight loss clinic and telehealth medical services platform.

The Medical

Director will ensure clinical quality, regulatory compliance, protocol development, and serve as the collaborative physician for our advanced practice providers.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Oversight & Care Standards: Provide overall medical direction for weight loss programs and services, ensuring alignment with professional medical standards and regulatory guidelines.

Protocol & Policy Development: Formulate, review, and approve clinical protocols, policies, and care procedures with a focus on patient safety and efficacy.

Telehealth Compliance: Ensure all clinical protocols adhere to Florida Telehealth Practice Standards and relevant rules concerning the establishment of telehealth patient-physician relationships.

Clinical Supervision & Collaboration: Supervise clinical staff (nurses, PAs, and healthcare professionals). Enter into and maintain a Collaborative Practice Agreement with Nurse Practitioners.

Chart Review & Quality Control: Conduct periodic patient chart and treatment plan reviews to maintain high care standards and complete documentation.

Quality Assurance & Governance: Participate in quality assurance, risk management programs,



and routine management meetings to evaluate clinical operations.

Staff Education: Assist in developing and delivering medical education and training for clinical staff on weight loss procedures and programs.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Florida Board of Medicine requirements.

Required Qualifications & Credentials

Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).

Licensure: Active, unencumbered license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.

Expertise: Background or experience in weight management, outpatient clinical practice, or telehealth care operations preferred.

Collaborative Capability: Eligibility and willingness to sign a Collaborative Practice Agreement with Nurse Practitioners.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance, Florida Board of Medicine guidelines, and Florida telehealth laws.

Position Terms & Benefits

Status: Independent Contractor (1099).

Work Location: Remote flexibility to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Expected Volume: Up to 8 hours per month (additional duties/hours subject to mutual written agreement).

Malpractice Coverage: The Medical Director will be included under the company’s existing malpractice insurance policy for all duties performed under the agreement.
