As a Geospatial Data Engineer, you will design and build specialized data pipelines for geospatial datasets, including satellite imagery and GPS data. You will provide the critical infrastructure necessary to transform complex spatial information into accessible and actionable intelligence for decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage automated ETL pipelines for large-scale geospatial datasets and satellite imagery.
- Develop and optimize spatial queries and indexing strategies using PostGIS to ensure high-performance data retrieval.
- Build robust data ingestion workflows for specialized formats like GeoParquet and spatial datasets.
- Clean, validate, and standardize diverse geospatial data sources to ensure accuracy and coordinate system consistency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support spatial modeling, visualization, and remote sensing requirements.
- Automate repetitive spatial data processing tasks using Python scripting and modern orchestration tools.
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, GIS, or Geospatial development.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines for satellite imagery, GPS, and spatial datasets.
- Proficiency in working with spatial databases and storage formats, specifically PostGIS and GeoParquet.
- Hands-on experience with spatial ETL processes and specialized geospatial tools.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
