Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in dental insurance coordination, claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle roles
- Licensed Dentist
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage high claim volumes while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills




- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365

Responsibilities

- Verify dental insurance benefits, including PPO and Medicare Advantage plans, prior to treatment
- Submit dental insurance claims accurately and on time
- Review explanations of benefits (EOBs) and post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately
- Track and follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims
- Prepare and submit insurance appeals and corrected claims with supporting documentation
- Ensure procedures are billed accurately and in compliance with payer policies
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and eligibility
- Coordinate with front desk and clinical teams to resolve documentation and coding issues
- Maintain accurate patient account records and insurance notes in the practice management system (PMS)
- Identify denial trends and report findings to leadership




- Assist patients with billing inquiries related to insurance coverage and account balances
