Database Internals Engineer at BairesDev
As a Database Internals Engineer, you will be responsible for the core architecture and performance of our data storage engines. You will work at the lowest levels of the software stack, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical components like transaction management and query execution.
What You'll Do
- Architect and refine high-performance storage engines utilizing B-tree or LSM-tree structures.
- Implement and maintain robust concurrency control and recovery mechanisms, including MVCC and WAL.
- Optimize query execution paths to ensure minimal latency and maximal throughput for complex operations.
- Design and improve distributed data replication protocols to ensure system consistency and availability.
- Write highly efficient, thread-safe code in C, C++, or Rust to handle mission-critical database tasks.
- Collaborate with other systems engineers to define the next generation of scalable data infrastructure.
