Job Summary:

We're looking for a Database Administrator to help keep the data behind our insurance operations fast, reliable, and secure. Our work supports coverage for civil infrastructure projects — think bridges, tunnels, and other large-scale builds — so the data you manage plays a real role in protecting the people and projects that keep communities moving.

Key Responsibilities:

- Keeping our SQL Server (or similar relational database) environments healthy — performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Managing backups, disaster recovery, and making sure we never lose sleep over data loss.
- Handling access, permissions, and security best practices (insurance data is sensitive, so this matters)
- Working with our dev team on database design, queries,



and optimization for internal tools and client-facing apps
- Planning for growth — capacity, scaling, and keeping things future-proof
- Occasionally translating "the database is slow" into an actual diagnosis and fix.

Qualifications:

- Solid hands-on experience with SQL Server (or a comparable relational database like PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Comfort with backups, replication, indexing, and query optimization
- A practical understanding of data security and compliance (bonus if you've worked in insurance, finance, or another regulated industry)
- Good communication skills — you'll work with both technical and non-technical folks
- Experience with project management and issue-tracking tools (Jira, Linear, Zenhub, Monday.com)
- Experience with AI-powered digital assistant (Copilot, Chatgpt, Gemini)
- Experience with AI-enabled tools
- Advanced English
- Experience in cloud-based platform and git repository hosting (GitHub, Gitlab, Azure DevOps Repos)
