Role Description The Project Scientist (Científico de proyectos) – Part-time at Coninmat will support the design, execution, and monitoring of research and consulting projects in materials science and related areas. Day-to-day tasks include planning experimental or analytical work, collecting and interpreting data, preparing technical reports, and contributing to scientific dissemination materials such as articles, presentations, or educational content.

The role also involves collaborating with partner companies and universities, integrating AI-based tools into project workflows, and ensuring that project milestones and quality standards are met. This is a part-time contract role with a hybrid work arrangement, based in Colombia,



combining on-site collaboration with the option to work from home for selected activities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in materials science, rheology, engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related field, supported by relevant academic training or equivalent experience.
- Experience in research project design and execution, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation for scientific or technical studies focus in rheology.
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports, scientific documents, and dissemination materials for both specialized and general audiences.
- Familiarity with AI tools and digital platforms for data analysis, modeling, or knowledge management in research or consulting contexts.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams across companies and universities, both on-site and remotely.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle part-time project responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Desirable: prior experience in consulting, technology transfer, or industry–academia collaboration within materials or related sectors.
- Desirable: proficiency in Spanish and English for reading scientific literature and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
