Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join our General Forwarding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carrier procurement, transportation operations, and rate negotiation. This role is responsible for sourcing and managing relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and other transportation partners while securing reliable capacity and competitive pricing to support international freight operations and achieve company margin objectives.

Key Responsibilities Source, qualify, and manage relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and transportation partners.

Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring profitability and service quality.

Secure carrier capacity for international freight movements and monitor carrier performance.

Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage loads, carrier information, and shipment documentation.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with carriers to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure successful shipment execution.

Monitor market conditions and carrier availability to optimize transportation costs.

Resolve carrier-related issues, service disruptions,



and capacity challenges in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records, pricing information, and operational documentation within company systems.

Perform additional carrier sales and logistics duties as assigned.

Requirements 2+ years of experience in Carrier Sales, Freight Brokerage, Transportation, Logistics, or Global Forwarding.

Experience negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships.

Strong understanding of international freight operations, including ocean transportation and drayage.

Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Good knowledge of U.S. geography and time zones.

English proficiency: B2–C1 (required).
