Backend Developer

Zenit Corp is a fast-growing e-commerce group building and scaling multiple direct-to-consumer brands.

We are looking for a hands-on Backend Developer to build the services, APIs, integrations, and data systems that power our internal products and e-commerce operations.

You will work across the backend lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and designing the architecture to building, deploying, monitoring, and improving systems in production.

This is not a maintenance-only role. You will work directly with leadership and product teams, take ownership of complex operational problems, and turn them into secure, reliable, and scalable backend solutions.

What you’ll do

- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and internal platforms.
- Design data models and workflows for e-commerce and operational systems.
- Create reliable integrations with Shopify, fulfillment partners, payment providers, and third-party APIs.
- Develop event-driven automations, webhooks, queues, and scheduled jobs.
- Build authentication, permissions, file-processing, and real-time services.
- Improve system reliability, performance, observability, and security.
- Take backend projects from technical design to production deployment.
- Own database decisions, migrations, error handling, and data integrity.
- Monitor, debug, document, and continuously improve production systems.

What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of professional backend or full-stack development experience.
- Strong experience building and deploying backend systems used in production.




- Strong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and API design.
- Experience with relational or document databases, data modeling, and migrations.
- Solid understanding of authentication, security, asynchronous processing, webhooks, and queues.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems and deliver solutions independently.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- English level B2 or higher. Spanish is highly valuable.
- Experience with e-commerce, fulfillment, payment, or operational systems is highly valuable.
- A practical, proactive, and execution-focused mindset.
- Comfort working with cloud deployments, monitoring, and third-party APIs.
