ROLE DESCRIPTION

AvioSmart is looking for a Technical Procurement Coordinator based in Medellín or Bogotá, Colombia (hybrid) to coordinate aeronautical procurement operations for major airline clients in the region.

In this role, you will serve as the technical point of contact between suppliers, the AvioSmart team, and the client — coordinating the sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of aeronautical components and spare parts while ensuring technical compliance, cost optimization, and on-time delivery.

You will manage multiple active sourcing processes simultaneously, build and maintain supplier relationships, and provide structured, well-documented recommendations that clients can act on with confidence. As you develop within AvioSmart, you will progressively take on strategic sourcing responsibilities — learning to lead supplier negotiations, support contract analysis, and drive cost reduction initiatives across client portfolios.

You will report directly to the Managing Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate end-to-end sourcing processes for aeronautical parts, consumables, expendables, and rotable components
- Technically evaluate quotations against component specifications, ensuring compliance beyond price and lead time
- Build and maintain relationships with international OEMs, MROs, and distributors
- Coordinate AOG procurement scenarios with urgency,



structure, and full traceability
- Apply knowledge of Incoterms and international trade to negotiate competitive terms with suppliers
- Maintain organized and traceable records within client ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and internal tracking tools
- Communicate clearly with client procurement and technical teams to align on priorities and resolve sourcing roadblocks

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or International Business. Related fields considered with strong aeronautical procurement experience.

Required:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in aeronautical procurement or aviation supply chain
- C1 English — fluent written and spoken for supplier negotiation and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with aviation parts sourcing platforms (ILS, Satair, Partsbase, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Solid understanding of Incoterms and international trade processes
- Advanced Excel for comparative supplier and cost analysis
- Highly organized — able to manage multiple open processes with full traceability and minimal supervision

Preferred:

- Experience supporting AOG desk or expedite purchasing operations
- Knowledge of aeronautical regulations (FAA/EASA) applied to procurement decisions
- Familiarity with AI tools applied to procurement, data analysis, or supply chain workflows
