DevOps / Platform Engineer.

About the Role:

We're hiring a hands-on Sr. DevSecOps/ Platform Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production reliability behind Bizee's core platforms.

You'll build out our Google Cloud environment, embed security into automation, and keep production humming - working closely with product engineers to boost deployment velocity and with IT Ops to align infra cost and performance.

What You'll Own:

? Automate everything. Build and maintain CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and infra-as-code (Terraform) for fast, repeatable deploys to Cloud Run and Compute Engine.

? Own the cost curve. Treat cloud spend as an engineering constraint - auto-scaling, resource tagging, and spin-down schedules across Cloud Run, GCE, Cloud SQL, IAM, and VPC.

? Bake in security. Manage IAM, secrets, and zero-trust access (Tailscale) across GCP and GitHub. Partner with security on SOC 2, vuln scans, and remediation.

? Work AI-native. Use modern AI assistants daily for boilerplate, scripts, and test loops - while owning the architecture calls, access control logic, and diagnostics yourself. Automate the repeatable stuff so it runs without you.

? Keep prod solid. Own monitoring, alerting, and on-call (Elastic/ELK, DataDog, Prometheus/Grafana). Patch and harden PHP/Laravel, Node.js, NestJS, K8s/K3s, Docker, and Helm - including our in-flight Laravel upgrade - and lead incident response with real runbooks.

What We Are Looking For:

- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering running production cloud systems (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure welcome)
- Strong Terraform + container/orchestration experience (Docker,



Cloud Run, GKE/K8s)
- Solid CI/CD chops (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or CircleCI)
- Working knowledge of PHP/Laravel deployment lifecycles and dependency upgrades.
- Observability experience (Elastic/ELK, DataDog, Prometheus/Grafana) and on-call ownership.
- Cloud security fundamentals: IAM, secrets management, network .segmentation, zero-trust (Tailscale or similar).
- DNS/edge management (Cloudflare preferred).
- Database ops (MySQL/PostgreSQL preferred) - backups, RPO/RTO, migrations.

Cut roughly in half while keeping every technical signal (tools, stack, ownership scope) a serious candidate would screen for. A few notes on choices I made:
- Condensed the four "Who You Are" personas into scannable action bullets with emojis - reads better in a LinkedIn feed and on mobile.
- Kept all specific tools/tech mentioned (Terraform, Tailscale, Cloudflare, etc.) since those are exactly what qualified candidates search for.
- Trimmed repetitive phrases like "cloud infra cost management" that appeared multiple times.
