We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer | Data Modeling & Visualization Specialist- ? 100% Remote (? Mandatory to Reside in Colombia)! to strengthen our international analytics setup.

Based in South America, you will work in a dynamic project environment spanning South America, Spain, and Germany?- Fluent English (C1) ?

In this role, you will collaborate very closely with our technical team in Spain to build a scalable, high-performance Power BI presentation layer on top of Databricks-based data products. This position combines deep expertise in Power BI semantic modeling, DAX performance engineering, and automated testing with the ability to navigate complex, multi-country delivery structures seamlessly.

⛓️ Requirements & Qualifications / Technical Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions in big data environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of DAX (complex logic and performance tuning), M-Query , and TMDL .
- Strong hands-on experience with Tabular Editor 2/3 ,



DAX Studio (including Trace and VertiPaq Analyzer), and ALM Toolkit .
- Solid backend understanding of Databricks SQL Warehouses and the interactions between cloud data platforms and Power BI.
- Proven experience writing Python scripts for automated testing and CI/CD integration (e.g., Azure DevOps / Git).
- Strong "performance by design" approach, capable of building efficient, scalable models for large user volumes.

? Key Responsibilities & Working Areas :

- Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement high-performance, multidimensional Power BI datasets using Star and Galaxy schema principles.
- DirectQuery & Lakehouse Optimization: Optimize DirectQuery scenarios in combination with Databricks SQL Warehouses.
- Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in complex DAX formulas and M-Queries to guarantee top-tier report performance at scale.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Build and maintain robust development and deployment processes utilizing Git and deployment automation tools.

- Automated Quality Assurance: Advance automated testing frameworks using Python to ensure data integrity and report quality across complex release cycles.

- Bridge Backend & Frontend: Work at the crucial interface between Databricks-based data provisioning and a scalable Power BI presentation layer.
- Global Stakeholder Collaboration: Actively align with technical steering from Spain and engage with stakeholders across Spain and Germany within a distributed project setup.
