MPL Solution Design Specialist

Role Purpose
The MPL Solution Design Specialist leads the end‑to‑end design of logistics solutions for new and existing customers. The role is responsible for developing competitive, data‑driven, and financially sound solutions that support commercial growth and operational excellence.
As stated in the source document, the position must “develop detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client and draft P&L.;”
Key Responsibilities
Design customer‑aligned solutions integrating operational models, cost structures, resource plans, and financial projections.
Manage project workload and multiple commercial opportunities simultaneously.
Participate in RFP/RFQ/RFI processes ensuring high‑quality technical responses.
Develop high‑level technical proposals for strategic customers.
Analyze requirements and define solution architectures based on customer data and operational needs.
Capture core data and assumptions required to design, cost, and price customer solutions.
Create process flows and engineering visualizations for key activities and RFQ technical submissions.
Maintain close collaboration with LEAN and Business Process Engineering teams to embed continuous improvement methodologies.
Provide innovative ideas to strengthen competitiveness and solution differentiation.
Actively contribute to the MPL Solution Design Community, sharing best practices and insights.
Guide Area solution design teams on new business opportunities, including RFP responses, CAPEX, presentations, and technical documentation.
Drive capability building and knowledge sharing across the organization.
3–5+ years of experience in MPL solution design.
Strong expertise in core MPL verticals.
Deep understanding of how process changes impact productivity and financials.
Experience in MPL or logistics operations, including implementation.
Ability to innovate and make recommendations with limited or ambiguous data.
Strong analytical, modeling, and process‑design skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
