About the Role
We are looking for a Release Manager to plan, schedule, and control the movement of software updates, application packages, and infrastructure changes across development, testing, and production environments.
This role acts as a bridge between development, QA, project, and operations teams, ensuring deployments are properly tested, risks are managed, rollback plans are validated, and releases move smoothly while protecting the integrity and stability of live environments.
What You'll Do
- Define, maintain, and publish the enterprise Release Calendar , coordinating deployments to minimize business impact.
- Conduct Go/No-Go readiness reviews to ensure QA sign-offs, security approvals, business validations, and deployment requirements are complete.
- Coordinate release-day execution, including communication, deployment steps, verification procedures, and collaboration across engineering and operations teams.
- Ensure every deployment includes a validated rollback or contingency plan for potential production failures.
- Manage release schedules and environment promotion paths across Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production .
- Partner with development teams to standardize release packages, improve deployment automation, and increase pipeline efficiency.
- Participate in post-release reviews to evaluate deployment success and improve release checklists, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with relevant technologies, deployment practices,
and business processes.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in software development, QA, IT operations, or a related field, including at least 2 years in a Release Coordinator or Release Manager role .
- Experience managing release pipelines in Waterfall and Agile/DevOps environments .
- Strong understanding of ITIL Release and Deployment Management and Change Enablement practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or Octopus Deploy , as well as cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of environment promotion paths from Development through Production .
- Excellent planning, organization, project management, risk management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify deployment risks and define clear, executable mitigation and rollback plans.
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills to align development, QA, operations, and business teams.
- High attention to detail when tracking build numbers, deployment checklists, testing sign-offs, and release requirements.
- High school diploma required. University studies in Information Systems, Project Management, Process Improvement, or a related field are a plus.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, able to multitask, work independently, and learn new technologies quickly.
Language Requirements
- English: B2+ or higher / 85%+ oral and written proficiency.
