Remote Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Remote position serving a U.S.-based company)

JC Jackson Homes is a U.S.-based residential home builder seeking a reliable Remote Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting team. This role is idóneo for someone who enjoys working with financial records, vendor management, and invoice processing while collaborating remotely with a professional team. This is a remote independent contractor opportunity that will be managed through Upwork.

Key Responsibilities

- Process vendor invoices accurately and on schedule
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Maintain vendor records and payment information
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal team members
- Assist with month-end accounts payable activities
- Maintain organized electronic financial records
- Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls

Minimum Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills




- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated workspace
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies
- Experience in the construction or homebuilding industry

Compensation

- Independent Contractor (1099/Upwork)
- $8.00 to $10.00 USD per hour, based on experience
- Remote position
- JC Jackson Homes will cover applicable Upwork platform fees
