We’re looking for a Technical Product & Project Management Lead to join us on a client engagement, owning both the product strategy/discovery and the execution of a high-impact software project from ideation through delivery. This role sits at the intersection of product management, engineering, design, and client operations—ensuring we build the right features, solve the right user problems, and deliver projects on time and with high quality.
This engagement is expected to continue for the duration of the client project. High-performing team members will also be considered for future client engagements and full-time opportunities within Parallel as we continue to grow.
Role Overview The Technical Product & Project Management Lead is responsible for driving the full product lifecycle—from user research, feature scoping, and requirements definition to sprint planning, development, QA, launch, and post-release evaluation. You will bridge customer and business needs with technical execution, translating ambiguous client problems into clear product roadmaps and actionable user stories while keeping engineering teams aligned and delivery on schedule.
This role is adecuado for a hybrid Product & Project Manager who excels at strategic problem-solving, feature prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and disciplined project execution in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Discovery
- Define feature requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs derived from user research, client feedback, and market needs.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to prototype, validate, and refine user flows and product interactions.
- Establish success metrics (KPIs) for product features and analyze post-launch usage data to drive continuous feature iteration.
Execution & Delivery Management
- Own the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives from roadmap planning through production release and post-launch optimization.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, release schedules, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify product/technical risks, unblock cross-functional dependencies, and drive rapid, informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Management & Operations
- Serve as the central point of contact between client stakeholders, executive leadership, design, engineering, and operations teams.
- Translate complex customer feedback and business needs into engineering roadmap priorities.
- Oversee release management, quality assurance standards, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-to-market readiness.
- Continuously refine product management frameworks, documentation, and delivery processes across the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or a hybrid product/project leadership role managing software products.
- Proven track record of owning features/products end-to-end:
defining user requirements, crafting PRDs (Product Requirement Documents), prioritizing backlogs, and shipping complex SaaS or AI applications.
- Strong product sense & UX affinity: Ability to map out intuitive user flows, synthesize complex customer needs, and translate them into simple, powerful product solutions.
- Technical & Agile fluency: Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, API integrations, cloud architecture concepts, and modern Agile frameworks.
- Data-driven decision making: Experience setting product metrics, conducting quantitative/qualitative analysis, and prioritizing features using ROI framework models (e.g., RICE, MoSCoW).
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills to align engineering, product design, business stakeholders, and clients around a shared vision.
- Tool proficiency: Hands-on experience with product and delivery management platforms (e.g., Linear, Jira, Notion, Figma, Mixpanel/Amplitude, Asana).
- Startup mindset: Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments with evolving priorities.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience managing or launching SaaS, AI, or hiring/HR-tech products.
- Background as a software engineer, technical writer, or computer science graduate.
- Direct client-facing experience in consulting, agency, or enterprise software services environments.
- Hands-on experience managing QA automation or complex software release pipelines.
