The Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer role is focused on building, maintaining, and scaling modern web applications. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from crafting intuitive user interfaces to developing robust backend services and managing efficient database architectures in a cloud-first environment.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate as a key member of our agile team to translate functional requirements into scalable, reliable software.
- Build responsive, high-performance UI components using React .
- Develop modern middleware solutions with Node.js and robust backend services using Java 21 .
- Design, optimize, and manage database architectures using PostgreSQL (v16.x) .
- Implement efficient caching and search solutions leveraging Elasticsearch and Redis .
- Deploy and manage services within a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) environment.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural planning.
- Optionally leverage cutting-edge AI tools (like Claude Code ) to optimize workflow efficiency and code quality.

What we need:
- 3+ years of professional full stack software development experience (Mid-Level).
- Strong hands-on experience with React on the frontend and Node.js for middleware.
- Solid backend proficiency in Java (experience with modern versions like Java 21 is highly preferred).
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management and query optimization.
- Practical exposure to distributed search and caching tools ( Elasticsearch , Redis ).
- Familiarity with GCP cloud services and deployment practices.
- Experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) is a major plus.
- Proficient understanding of version control systems (Git) and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Location requirement: Open strictly to candidates currently residing in LATAM . Must be available to work during US business hours to ensure team collaboration.
- Fast onboarding: Ability to start within 2 weeks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of proficiency in English .
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Contract Details & Compensation:
- Contract Duration: Engagement running through at least December 31, 2026 (with potential for extension).
- Rate: Up to $4.000 USD - $5.000 / month (depending on experience).
