Role Description This is a full-time remote Financial Analyst role at Apertura.
The Financial
Analyst will prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities include building financial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, performing variance and trend analysis, and assessing key performance indicators. The role involves reviewing financial statements for accuracy, collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial insights, and preparing presentations and dashboards for leadership.
The Financial
Analyst will also contribute to process improvements, maintain documentation for financial analyses, and ensure adherence to internal controls and relevant policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including accrual accounting and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Ability to prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic data analysis.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, or similar platforms.
- Ability to review invoices, receipts, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and financial models.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and recurring accounting tasks.
- Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and accounting concepts.
- Proactive attitude and ability to ask questions when information is unclear.
- 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
