We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal based in Latin America (LATAM) to support a busy U.S. family law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized legal professional who has previously worked for a U.S.-based family law firm and is comfortable managing cases independently in a fast-paced environment.

Please Note: This position is only for candidates with recent experience working for a U.S. family law firm. Candidates without U.S. family law experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and electronically file court documents.
- Maintain attorney calendars and monitor court deadlines.
- Organize and manage electronic case files.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties.
- Assist clients in collecting financial records and supporting documentation.
- Review financial documents, including tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and business records.
- Prepare hearing, mediation, and trial materials.




- Maintain detailed case notes and document management.
- Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and attorney schedules.
- Support attorneys with discovery, case preparation, and trial preparation
- Draft legal documents including: Petitions, Complaints, Motions, Financial Affidavits, Parenting Plans, Marital Settlement Agreements, Discovery Requests and Responses, Notices, Subpoenas

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Family Law Paralegal or Family Law Attorney for a U.S.-based law firm.
- U.S. Family Law Firm experience is REQUIRED.
- Experience using Smokeball would be highly desirable
- Strong experience managing: Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Paternity Cases, Adoption

Preferred Skills
- Paralegal Certificate or Legal Studies degree.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, and legal practice management software.
