Position Overview The Dispatcher is responsible for managing the transportation process after a customer's shipment has been booked. This includes sourcing qualified carriers, negotiating rates, dispatching loads, tracking shipments, resolving operational issues, and maintaining constant communication with carriers, customers, and internal departments.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Manizales, Colombia.

Key Responsibilities****Carrier Management

- Source, evaluate, and dispatch qualified carriers for vehicle shipments throughout the United States.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and transportation partners.
- Verify carrier qualifications, insurance, and compliance requirements.
- Negotiate competitive carrier rates while maintaining company profit margins.

Dispatch Operations

- Assign shipments to the most suitable carrier based on price, transit time, equipment availability, and customer requirements.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.




- Proactively identify and resolve transportation delays or service issues.
- Ensure all shipments are dispatched within company service standards.

Customer & Internal Communication

- Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipment status.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain professional communication with carriers regarding scheduling, documentation, and delivery updates.

Documentation & Systems

- Maintain accurate shipment records in the company's Transportation Management System (TMS) and CRM.
- Ensure all required documents are complete and uploaded promptly.
- Update shipment statuses and notes accurately throughout the transportation process.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

- Meet dispatch productivity and service KPIs.
- Help improve dispatch processes and operational efficiency.
- Support management with reporting and operational analysis when needed.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle transportation dispatching, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination.
- Experience negotiating rates with carriers is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM platforms, or dispatch software.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
- Spanish proficiency is required.
