Westbridge Demolition is a Florida-based demolition contractor growing its bid volume. We're hiring a full-time Construction Estimator to review architectural plans, define demolition scope, and produce accurate, competitive estimates — with the support of AI-assisted tools for research and drafting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis:
Reviewing architectural drawings, plans, and technical specifications to determine the total demolition scope of a project
- Quantity Takeoffs:
Measuring and calculating precise amounts for materials, equipment, and direct/indirect labor tied to demolition work
- Vendor Bidding:
Requesting, collecting, and comparing pricing quotes from outside subcontractors and suppliers
- Estimate Production:
Producing accurate, competitive, well-documented estimates — expect a volume of 3–5 estimate requests per day
- Collaborating with Field Operations and Sales on scope and pricing
Job Requirements:
- Structural, Civil, or Construction Engineer (preferred) — or extensive hands-on estimating experience
- Strong background in reading blueprints and construction methods; proficiency with Excel or specialized takeoff software
- Working knowledge of demolition, plumbing, electrical, architectural drawings, concrete cutting, interior demolition
- Experience ranging from junior (with mentoring on early estimates) to senior candidates with 2+ years of dedicated cost-estimation history — demolition-specific experience preferred
- Good commercial judgment when pricing work — this role directly affects project profitability and competitiveness
- Comfortable with AI-assisted tools as part of daily workflow — required, not optional
- Professional/business-level English required
Why this role matters
This is a newly created role, not a support position — it's one of four core operational functions Westbridge is building around. Expect 3–5 estimate requests per day.
