Account Executive The Account Executive is responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, supporting invoice purchasing operations, and minimizing organizational risk through effective account management, analysis, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to and respond promptly to all incoming client calls and emails.
- Proactively communicate with clients through their preferred contact method, providing updates on invoice purchases and notifying them as early as possible of any verification delays.
- Review client requests that fall outside normal operational processes, identify solutions, and escalate cases when necessary while maintaining full ownership of communicating decisions to the client.
- Clearly explain all policies, procedures, and account information to clients, and provide ongoing training to facilitate a smoother funding process.
- Resolve client issues and complaints in a manner that delivers world-class customer service while minimizing risk to the organization.
- Ensure all invoices scheduled for purchase on a given day are processed within established timeframes.
- Review all held invoices to confirm they should remain on hold and ensure verification follow-ups are current.
- Keep clients fully informed about the status of their invoices and account activities at all times.
- Analyze daily portfolio reports and follow up with clients regarding relevant account information.
- Support collections efforts to maintain accurate aging reports and ensure invoices are paid.
- Monitor and follow up on workout accounts to reduce risk exposure, coordinating actions with collections teams, clients, brokers, shippers, and receivers as needed.
- Maintain accurate client account information across all systems and ensure public funding instructions remain current.
- Accurately manage no-buy restrictions at both relationship and client levels.
- Maintain account events and take action to resolve compliance-related issues when necessary.
- Perform risk analysis to determine whether invoice purchases can be safely executed, including:
- Credit and insurance validation.
- Identification of potential duplicate purchases.
- Client and broker concentration reviews.
- Analysis of purchase exceptions.
- Follow up on invoices pending Account Executive review and communicate with brokers when verification has not been completed due to client requests or time constraints.
- Ensure compliance with special purchase terms, including full recourse and direct shipper transactions.
- Manage client reserve accounts according to identified risk factors, including full recourse purchases, damaged loads, and other risk-related situations.
- Recommend program modifications when recurring negative reserves indicate increased future risk.
- Prepare weekly reports
- Review full recourse and non-funded invoice reports daily and take appropriate action.
- Provide coverage for additional accounts when required.
- Perform any recurring or one-time duties necessary for the successful execution of the role or as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- English level C1.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of FactorSoft.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience with financial industry
- Successful tenure in at least two of the following positions: Audit, Verifications, Credit, Collections
English Level
- C1 (Advanced)

- Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Colombia Time) / EST
