Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced General Accountant to join our Finance team in Barranquilla. The idóneo candidate will have a strong background in General Ledger Accounting, Month-End Close, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Inventory Accounting. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting the monthly close process, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the organization's overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and support the month-end close process.

- Prepare and perform complex balance sheet reconciliations.

- Prepare and post journal entries.

- Analyze and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.

- Maintain General Ledger accounts and supporting schedules.

- Perform account analysis and ensure financial accuracy.

- Support inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and inventory valuation.

- Monitor inventory movements and adjustments.





- Assist with financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

- Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and maintain accurate financial records.

- Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- English proficiency: B2 (required).

- Previous experience as a General Ledger Accountant, Staff Accountant, or General Accountant.

- Proven experience with:

- Month-End Close.

- Month-End Reconciliations.

- Balance Sheet Reconciliations (beyond bank reconciliations).

- Journal Entries.

- General Ledger Accounting.

- Inventory Control and/or Inventory Accounting.

- Account Analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
