About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer – L3 Support / BAU with strong experience supporting web-based applications and reporting platforms. This role focuses on resolving complex production issues, troubleshooting and debugging applications, optimizing SQL-based reporting solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of existing systems.

The adecuado candidate is proactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of production incidents from investigation through resolution.

Requisitos

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4–8 years of industry experience, with significant hands-on experience in L3/BAU application support for web-based applications.

- Strong experience with SSRS or similar SQL-based reporting tools.

- Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.0+, .NET Core 8, JavaScript, and jQuery for troubleshooting, debugging, and bug fixing.

- Strong Microsoft SQL Server and SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, query optimization, and debugging.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with ITIL practices, application support processes, and source control tools such as GitHub.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to independently own incidents while collaborating across teams.

- Availability to overlap with US-based teams.





Nice to Have

- Experience with Sigma and/or Power BI.

- Exposure to applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

- Provide L3 and BAU support for web-based applications and act as a primary technical point of contact for application incidents.

- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, performance problems, bugs, and system errors, minimizing application downtime.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement or recommend preventive improvements.

- Troubleshoot and implement bug fixes across applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.0+, .NET Core 8, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Support and troubleshoot SQL-based reporting platforms, including SSRS, and work with reporting solutions such as Sigma or Power BI when applicable.

- Query, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and related database components.

- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for reliability and performance optimization.

- Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to investigate issues and implement technical improvements.

- Participate in the testing and deployment of application updates, patches, enhancements, and bug fixes.

- Create and maintain SOPs, application support documentation, and end-user troubleshooting guides, and provide user training when required.

- Maintain clear communication with technical teams, business stakeholders, and users throughout incident resolution.
