All Service Moving is a rapidly growing transportation and logistics company operating throughout the United States. We manage a large commercial fleet consisting of moving trucks, pickups, trailers, forklifts, and support equipment across multiple states.
We are looking for an exceptional Fleet Operations & Maintenance Manager to take complete ownership of keeping our fleet operating at maximum uptime while controlling maintenance costs.
This is not an administrative position.
You will be expected to think like a fleet owner, aggressively solve problems, and hold vendors and technicians accountable.
What You'll Do
You will remotely manage every repair, maintenance event, breakdown, and inspection across our fleet.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor the health and status of every vehicle daily using Fleetio and Samsara.
- Ensure trucks return to service as quickly as possible.
- Diagnose mechanical issues over the phone with drivers.
- Determine whether repairs should be completed roadside, in-house, or at a repair facility.
- Coordinate roadside assistance.
- Find and compare repair shops.
- Negotiate repair pricing.
- Obtain multiple estimates whenever practical.
- Review repair recommendations and prevent unnecessary work.
- Schedule preventive maintenance before failures occur.
- Monitor recalls and warranty opportunities.
- Track repair history for every asset.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records.
- Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.
- Ensure DOT compliance and maintenance schedules are current.
- Manage parts purchasing and inventory.
- Track maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze recurring failures and recommend permanent solutions.
- Build relationships with repair vendors nationwide.
- Hold vendors accountable for timelines and quality.
