We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Accounting & AP Specialist
to join our Finance team as a
full-time remote International Contractor
. This position is responsible for supporting the firm's day-to-day accounting operations by managing accounts payable, performing reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end closing activities.

The adecuado candidate has strong experience in accounting operations, QuickBooks Online, and bank reconciliations, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the weekly Accounts Payable (AP) process and payment queue.
- Review and verify vendor invoices before payment processing.
- Prepare and process payments following established finance procedures.
- Monitor daily bank balances and identify discrepancies.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
- Record and code financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
- Reconcile payment processors, including LawPay,



ACH transactions, Zelle, and bank activity.
- Classify expenses by department to support accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare supporting documentation for month-end close.
- Process approved client refunds and maintain accurate refund records.
- Maintain filing fee registers, money order logs, payment confirmations, and other accounting documentation.
- Assist with accounting process improvements and additional finance projects as assigned.

Required
- 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounting operations, or a related accounting role.
- Strong experience with
QuickBooks Online
.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations and managing accounts payable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
