Are you a highly experienced Systems Engineer passionate about infrastructure, cloud technologies, automation, and solving complex technical challenges?

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and support a leading client. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, supporting, and continuously improving complex operating system and infrastructure environments, ensuring high levels of system availability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Administer, support, and optimize complex cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including server environments, datacenter operations, virtualization, and system performance.
- Provide advanced L2 troubleshooting and escalation support for complex technical issues, WAN/LAN connectivity, security, and infrastructure operations.
- Lead technical solutions, migrations, and complex projects while conducting root cause analysis and implementing automation and performance improvements.
- Design and maintain operating runbooks, server procedures, and technical documentation to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
- Manage ticket queues, prioritize incidents, and ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and operational processes.
- Coach, mentor, and provide technical training to engineers while serving as a senior technical resource for the team.
- Monitor team performance and capacity, preparing monthly analytics reports and identifying opportunities for improvement.




- Partner with clients and internal teams to recommend infrastructure improvements, support solution opportunities, ensure compliance with Auxis operating processes, and stay current with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related field.
- Strong experience with: Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Entra ID, Linux environments, Virtualization technologies, Cloud technologies.
- Proven experience supporting large and complex server-based cloud environments.
- Advanced knowledge of system performance monitoring and backup technologies.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization and cloud operations.
- Scripting experience with technologies such as Power Shell, VBScript, BAT, Shell, or Python.
- Experience creating technical documentation, server procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Knowledge of networking and infrastructure protocols, including DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Certifications

- Azure Administrator certification or higher
- AWS Sys Ops certification or higher
- ITIL 4 Foundation

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
